Tracking pixels in emails
Notice about an invisible image that some emails may contain, used to record whether the message was opened. As a rule, we do not use it.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
When we use it
Emails from Immobiliare Porta Cicca usually do not contain a tracking pixel. The signature and the logo at the bottom do not record whether the message was opened.
Some emails sent from our system may include it. In particular, messages saying that a requested property is no longer available, and email templates prepared to contain this image.
What data we store
When the mail program downloads the image, on the request already linked to that email address we store only:
- the date and time of the last time the email was opened;
- if the link is a click type, the date and time of the last click, instead of the opening.
The image link may include the recipient's email address. It is the address we wrote to, already in our records, and it is used only to match the opening to the existing file.
We do not store the IP address, device type, mail program, geographic location, or how many times the email was opened. Only the latest date remains.
What it is for
It tells us whether that message was read, for example so we do not propose again a property that is no longer available. We do not use this data for advertising profiles and we do not pass it on to third parties.
If you do not want it
You can write and ask us not to include the pixel in later emails. Messages can continue: only that image is removed.
Legal framework
This page takes account of the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 17 April 2026 on tracking pixels in email, and of Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.
